A festival set to rock Wudinna.

In 1990 five blokes from Newcastle called The Screaming Jets took the Aussie music scene by the scruff of the neck and gave a red hot shake.

Before they had even signed their first record deal with rooArt Records, the Screaming Jets had already clocked up more than 200 live shows, won the ‘Triple J Battle Of The Bands’ competition and established themselves as an onstage, no holds barred, powerhouse of Aussie rock n roll.

Flash forward to 2024 and The Jets are still going strong with their 10th studio album, Professional Misconduct.

Say hello to Funky Monks, the best Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band you will ever see!

No stranger to the festival scene, Funky Monks has performed alongside some of Australia’s biggest names, such as Birds of Tokyo, the Superjesus, Jebadiah, and Bodyjar.

Their live show is full of surprises with random funky jams, hard-hitting thunderous drums and funky slap bass. They will have you dancing and singing to all your fave RHCP songs from the get go.

Local Pub Rockers ‘Outnumbered’ are a 5 piece outfit formed in 2022 and have spent the last couple of years honing their craft in ‘The Gentlemans Lounge’ and playing pubs, parties and footy clubs across the EP.

Hailing from Wudinna this husband & wife duo (Dallas & Gabrielle) are well known throughout the EP for their Sunday acoustic chill vibes, with songs a little left of centre as well as some classics.

“Brass Souls” was thought up by Scott “Womby” McConnell 6 years ago while playing in original funk band “Weezil”, inspired by the growing trend of “Brasshouse” music that predominantly features wind instruments. Brass instruments are often used in many bands punching out key melodic lines or harmonies, while “Brasshouse” flips this formula to make these instruments take the lead, sometimes supported by guitar and vocals.

The “Brasshouse” genre is inspired by a mix of jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, EDM and house music which is always high energy and makes you want to dance.

Either solo with guitar in hand, or backed by The Kingfishers, Joshy's sound weaves together roots, funk and reggae with a nod - or more of a cheeky wink - to the storytelling folk tradition.

A prolific live performer, Joshy has built a a fiercely loyal local fan base, but his music is also turning heads much further afield. In 2014, Joshy was a semi-finalist in the International Song Writing Competition for his song Travel Diary, on his second album.

He has supported some of Australia's biggest acts, performing for 10,000 people at Triple J's One Night Stand concert after taking out the radio station's Unearthed competition for his song Moon As A Mirror.

The electrifying 4 piece, perched high atop the Hill at Soundryte Studios have been grinding away to put together a gritty, passionate and intense catalogue of original rock music that encompasses some of the old crowd favorites with a whole heap of new and zealous content.

Original members Puffy and Ringo have lit up many a crowd under the Hinters brand, and now Skinny’s thunderous bass and former Eyre Heads font man Scheff have joined the mix to give the project a new lease on life.
